CALL FOR PAPERS The symposium will be held on 12 and 13 th December 2009 in Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), Cochin, Kerala, India. The primary aim of the symposium is to promote research in the areas of natural computing and emerging techniques in nature inspired computing. We also aim to promote interaction between various researchers in the field. The symposium will consist of invited talks by experts from various countries and also paper presentations.
Theme: Intelligent Computing for the Future Original papers describing current research in the following areas are invited, but other relevant areas also welcome:
Papers in application areas in the following fields will also be considered:
The papers should be organized so as to accommodate abstract, introduction,
state-of-the-art, objective, used methodology, obtained results and

Submitted papers should be original and contain contributions of theoretical, experimental or application nature, or be unique experience reports.
Papers must be submitted within the stipulated time and electronic
submission in PDF is required. The page limit for a full-length paper is 6
pages. Authors can have 2 extra pages with additional payment.
All submissions should be in the IEEE 8.5 two-column format. Papers should contain up to 5 keywords. Papers will be evaluated for originality, significance, clarity, and soundness, and will be reviewed by at least three independent reviewers.
The accepted papers will be included in the proceedings of the World Congress on Nature and Biologically Inspired Computing (NaBIC'09) published by the IEEE Computer Society and indexed by both EI (Compendex) and ISTP, on payment of the required publication fee ( INR 4000). Selected papers presented at the symposium will be considered for publication in special issues of several international Journals.
The authors of the accepted papers will be allowed to make a correction in accordance with the suggestions of the reviewers and submit final camera-ready papers within the stipulated deadline. Accepted papers must be presented by author(s) personally to be published in the proceedings.
